OUR LOVE STORY
We swiped right on Hinge during the third month of the pandemic. Our first connection was over Jennifer's profile pick-up line that she was "looking for the Charles to her Ray Eames." As mutual lovers of architecture, furniture and design we both knew the Eames's well: they were two creatives who became stronger as one and had no limits to their playful partnership. Our compatibility was quickly confirmed during our first date, dining at an Italian Restaurant and strolling the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the same location where Arash proposed to Jennifer nearly three years later.
WHY ITALY?
Our time at Lake Como was foundational to our relationship. It's objectively a visual paradise, and to us it's also an emotional paradise. We look forward to building on these experiences with you.

DETAILS
ITINERARY
The Welcome Party boat will leave the Bellagio dock at 4:00pm sharp on Monday, September 23rd, 2024. Arrive at least thirty minutes before departure. Please meet in front of Bar Sanremo (pick-up address: Via Lungo Lario Manzoni, 40, 22021 Bellagio CO, Italy). We will be enjoying aperitivo and dinner at Villa Geno starting at 5:00pm (venue address: Villa Geno, 12, 22100 Como CO, Italy).
The Wedding Day cars will depart Bellagio at 3:00pm sharp on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. Arrive at least thirty minutes before departure. Please meet in front of Hotel Excelsior Spledide (pick-up address: Hotel Spledide, Via Lungo Lario Manzoni, 28, 22021 Bellagio CO, Italy). Ceremony, Reception, and dancing to be held at Villa Erba starting at 4:15pm (venue address: Villa Erba, Largo Luchino Visconti, 4, 22012 Cernobbio CO, Italy).
DRESS CODE
The Welcome Party will be semi-formal. For women, we encourage dresses/skirts (of any length), matching sets, tailored slacks or jumpsuits paired with heels, strappy sandals or dressy flats. For men, we encourage slacks, dress shirts, a suit jacket/blazer/cardigan, and an optional tie paired with leather or dress shoes. "Celebratory, colorful, and chic"
The Wedding Day will be black tie. For women, we encourage formal dresses or gowns (of midi length or longer) paired with heels or formal flats. For men, we encourage tuxedos or suits and ties paired with classy dress shoes. No sneakers or t-shirts. "Sophisticated, elegant, and elevated"
For both days, refrain from wearing: white or cream dresses/jumpsuits, Apple Watches, denim/jeans, anything see-through, or shorts. The average temperature in Lake Como in September ranges from 59-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Please be sure to plan accordingly as part of the itinerary is outdoors and on the lake. PASSPORT CHECK
Please check the passport expiration dates for all members in your party. Passports must not expire within the six month period after your travel begins. If your passport expires before March of 2025 then you need to get it renewed. Renewals take up to thirteen weeks so begin this process promptly. In addition, please research if you will need a visa to visit Italy.
WHERE TO STAY
We will be providing transportation between Bellagio and each of our events. The ferry system can be unreliable and taxis are sparse, so we highly recommend staying within a comfortable walking distance from the pick-up points, addresses included in the Itinerary Section above. Jennifer and Arash will be staying at Hotel Belvedere but you are welcome to select any local accommodation of your liking. There are a variety of hotels and Airbnbs available, but it is a small region so please book in advance.
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Our two-day celebration spans from September 23rd through September 24th, 2024. If possible, we kindly request that you arrive in Italy by Saturday, September 21st. This will provide cushion for travel delays and allow you time to acclimate to the time change.
TRAVEL TIPS
The Milan Malpensa Airport is the closest international airport to Lake Como. After flying into Milan, the drive to Lake Como is just over one hour. Alternatively, you could take the ItaliaRail high speed train from Milan to Como S. Giovanni, followed by ferry to your accommodations. The latter may incur delays, so be sure to include padding in your schedule.
WHO'S INVITED
Our goal is to keep our very special weekend as intimate as possible. For this reason, we are choosing to celebrate with those who are closest to us and are not accommodating plus one's or children beyond family. The names of those invited are on the envelope of the invitation. Thank you for respecting our wishes.
